Coming Together for Maui: A Night of Support and Unity
Embracing the moment has taken on new meaning, especially in times of challenge and crisis. The recent wildfires that swept through Lāhainā, Maui, have left us reflecting on the precious connections we share and the importance of supporting one another during difficult times. As the flames subside and the embers cool, the spirit of resilience burns brighter than ever.
In moments like these, we are reminded of the simple joys we can sometimes take for granted - meeting up for coffee, gathering for a leisurely evening, or coming together with our fellow RUSHwahine for bonding and connection. The tragedy in Maui has magnified their significance in our lives, underscoring their ability to bind us in a tapestry of connections and heartfelt interactions.
RUSHwahine, deeply rooted in our mission of bonding before business, has stood side by side with industry partners who share our commitment to empowering and uplifting fellow wahine throughout the islands. Drawing from years of experience in the Hospitality Industry, our founder, Terra Foti, who is intimately tied to the Westin Moana Surfrider and Sheraton Princess Kaiulani through her husband's role as General Manager, understands the trials now faced by Maui businesses, venues, hotels, and resorts.
Over the past nine years, RUSHwahine has orchestrated an array of empowering and educational events across Hawai'i. Today, as the winds of change sweep across islands, we pause to honor these partnerships and reaffirm our dedication to our collaborators, and to the lifeblood industry that Hawai'i relies upon.
Now, as the sun sets on another day, we stand with Maui.
In the weeks ahead, RUSHwahine is hosting a special networking event where a large portion of the proceeds will go towards the relief and recovery efforts for the residents of Maui. It's a night not just for gathering, but for showing our unity and support as we navigate the path to healing together.
